1899 Sterling Silver Bachelor Tea Set by Martin Hall & Co. An attractive Sterling (925) Silver 3 piece Gentleman's or Bachelor's Tea Serving set, in very good clean condition.

The tea set has a matching Georgian style with half fluting to the bodies of the teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug. They are all hallmarked with the Assay office stamp of Sheffield, with the date mark of 1898 and 1899. The maker's mark is that for Richard Martin and Ebenezer Hall, better known as Martin, Hall & Co. The set is stamped on the underside with the pattern number 8428 and the number 2. Size teapot: 21.5 x 8.5 x 14 cm (8 ½ x 3 3/8 x 5 ½ inches) Size sugar bowl: 14.5 x 7 x 8 cm (5 ¾ x 2 ¾ x 3 1/8 inches) Weight: 588 g.
